Nagaland Hand Hewn Coffee Table

A striking Nagaland coffee table, hand carved from a single piece of solid wood, with the beautifully simple, primitive form associated with traditional furniture from Nagaland in north-east India. Pieces of this type were traditionally used as low beds or day beds, and their broad proportions and substantial construction translate beautifully into contemporary interiors.

Now repurposed as a large low coffee table, it brings warmth, texture and a strong sculptural quality to a room.
