Large Moroccan Tamegroute Multi Neck Vase / Candle Holder

A striking Tamegroute pottery vase and candle holder, handcrafted in the village of Tamegroute on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Designed to hold 12 candles, this sculptural piece has a strong decorative presence, with a rich amber yellow glaze, rounded form and hand worked surface that brings warmth, colour and texture to an interior.

Tamegroute pottery is made using clay from the River Draa and follows centuries-old techniques passed down through generations. Each piece is sundried, hand  glazed and fired in one of the village’s seven historic kilns. The distinctive green and yellow glazes are unique to Tamegroute and created using a closely guarded traditional formula.

The beauty of this pottery lies in its irregularity. Variations in colour, glaze movement, surface texture, firing marks, small imperfections and the characteristic 3 kiln marks are all part of the traditional making process. These details are not flaws, but an essential part of the piece’s authenticity and hand-finished character.

Styled with candles, branches or left as a sculptural object, this piece adds atmosphere, depth and a collected Moroccan accent to a table, console or fireplace setting.

Please note: Tamegroute pottery is defined by its beautifully imperfect, handcrafted finish. Variations in colour, surface markings, glaze drips and firing marks are inherent to the traditional making process and are part of the unique character and authenticity of each piece.
