Antique Rice Wine Vase

A striking 19th-century Chinese rice wine jar from Shanxi Province, dating to circa 1890. Hand-shaped with a beautifully balanced silhouette, the jar features a tall raised neck, flared rim and softly domed shoulders that taper gently towards the base.

Its deep black patina has developed naturally over more than a century, with subtle variations, surface marks and irregularities that reveal the character of the original craftsmanship. These authentic details give each piece a rich, sculptural quality.
