Southdown Rare Breed Sheepskin

Indulge in luxurious comfort with our Southdown Rare Breed Sheepskin rug,  celebrated for its warm white natural colour, exceptionally soft and dense short to medium pile sheepskin.  Crafted by hand by our neighbours Devonia the oldest Tannery in Britain on the edge of Dartmoor. 

Our Southdown sheepskins are sourced exclusively from British farmers, they are tanned in the traditional way and are undyed.  Each one is unique, with its distinctive cream / off white markings.

Sheepskins are eco-friendly due to their biodegradability and minimal environmental impact. The production process typically involves fewer chemicals compared to synthetic materials. Additionally, sheepskin is a byproduct of the meat industry, therefore reducing waste and ethically using all of the animal. 

Approx Size Range :  75 to 90cm x 60 to 70cm  (natural product all one offs, therefore size varies)

Care Guide:

The natural lanolin in a sheepskin helps keep them clean and resilient to dirt and spills, We recommend giving the sheepskin a good shake and brush regularly to keep it looking its best.
